Carve Your Own Stamps

Carving into the linoleum blocks can be time consuming and painful. In this tutorial Wendy Sloneker will show you how to use rubber carving materials that have become available lately. The blocks are available in art stores usually with the printmaking supplies. Wendy finds it cost-effective to purchase a larger slab o’ material and then cut to size at home with a utility knife. You’ll need slabs of carving materials and a few cutters. Also shown are samples of previously carved stamps used with paint and/or ink.
