These are both illustrations from my 18 image Alice In Wonderland series. The book _is_ available by request & I’ll have it as an inexpensive PDF download here shortly as well. Stay tuned!! Prints, ♥ACEO♥ art trading cards, and other assorted goodies can be found at my Etsy store & I’m adding them into our new shop here as I find time. Just a note – many of Lewis Carroll’s own portrait photos were used in the Alice In Wonderland series & lots of the images I used are readily available among the many high quality, high resolution digital collage sheets you’ll find here at PaperStreet Supplies. I’m also in the midst of creating a series of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s followup, Through The Looking Glass & What Alice Found There. The first three images (Through The Looking Glass, The Jabberwocky, and In The Garden of Live Flowers) are already out & I’m hoping to have time to get back to work on the series just as soon as I have a few other, more pressing projects out of the way.

Questions? Comments? I’m all ears!

Update: 08/15/2009
“At long last, the final illustrations for Through The Looking Glass are complete! It’s taken two years of steady procrastination coupled with heavy distraction, along with a few odd moments of inspiration and the occasional bit of free time, but they’re done! I’d like to invite you to view the all of my Wonderland/Looking Glass illustrations in their proper context, alongside the original illustrations by John Tenniel. You’ll find both stories, fully illustrated, as well as online art galleries, Alice information, and more at my new site Uncommon Nonsense.”

in the meantime. Thanks!

“Well, it seems Tim Burton is hard at work filming his live action version of Alice In Wonderland, so I thought it might be time to blow the dust off of my Alice In Wonderland artwork and parade it around for all to see. I’ve also just reopened my own Etsy shop and have prints available once again! I’ll be adding listings back in as quickly as I can & will have new works up soon as well.” – Ken

A Series of Minor Distractions - by Mikel Robinson (http://galeriedeilluminata.etsy.com)
A Series of Minor Distractions
by Mikel Robinson

“I am a self-trained artist from North Carolina. I try to create work that speaks to the beauty of the human experience, and provides nourishment to the inherent hope in the soul. I work with light to illuminate both the physical and emotional darkness of this world. I have been creating mixed media work almost 20 years, but it was when I began using light to illuminate pieces that I discovered an immediate connection with my audience. Viewers began to more closely approach and interact with my work. For me, light is more than a mechanical means of manipulation – it is literally a way to illuminate and explore the dark corners of the human experience.” – Mikel Robinson

If you happen to live in the North Carolina area, be sure to stop by Mikel’s Etsy store for details on upcoming artwalks & events he’ll be participating in!
